Well Wednesday was the river Tay opening day of the 2025 season, And what a great day it was. In the afternoon Rab Tam and myself were out harling the Lady pool when all hell broke loose as the poker rod buckled we kinda new very quickly that this was our first springer . And with about 15 minute battle the fish hit the net, its quickly weighed in the weigh net it was 19 lb and quickly released back to the river untouched by human hand as it should be. This fish gave us the Redford trophy and also the first salmon caught in Scotland this season .
